Hollywood actress Hunter Schafer, widely recognized for her role in the popular drama series ‘Euphoria,’ found herself in police custody after participating in a protest at 30 Rock during the taping of President Joe Biden’s ‘Late Night’ appearance.
According to reports from the ‘New York Post,’ Schafer and 33 other protesters were booked, with the actress issued a summons for trespassing during the organized demonstration. The protest’s focus was a call for a ceasefire in the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Photographs captured Schafer, who portrays ‘Jules’ in ‘Euphoria,’ being escorted out by a NYPD officer with her hands restrained behind her back. She was seen wearing a “Cease-fire now” t-shirt, standing in solidarity with other protesters affiliated with the organization “Jewish Voice for Peace.” The group staged a sit-in at the 30 Rock lobby, holding banners that read, “Jews to Biden: Stop arming genocide” and “Lasting cease-fire.”
Videos shared on social media depicted the protesters chanting phrases such as “No more weapons, no more war. Cease-fire is what we’re fighting for” and “Not in our name.” The incident brought attention to the passionate plea of the demonstrators for peace in the ongoing conflict.
