In a big tech boost for Lahore, the capital city of Punjab, a spanking new $70 million tech tower named “The Mark” is set to grace the skyline. The construction, spearheaded by CODE Science and Technology Park (CODE STP), is in partnership with the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA).
Standing tall with 36 floors, “The Mark” is gearing up to be the go-to hub for tech companies, thanks to the support it aims to provide for those focusing on services export, research and development (R&D), and product sales. The project is a brainchild of a Pakistani tech zone company and is expected to wrap up by 2026.
Once the construction dust settles, “The Mark” will have room for 7,000 to 8,000 tech enthusiasts during a single work shift, making it the tallest tech tower in Lahore’s Johar Town. This tech haven is set to cater to a variety of tech sectors and will bask in the perks of fiscal and monetary incentives courtesy of STZA.
It’s worth noting that the outgoing caretaker government has been pulling out all the stops to pave the way for the booming IT sector in the country. The future for Lahore’s tech scene looks set to soar to new heights with “The Mark” on the horizon.
