Former U.S. President Donald Trump has recently expressed his disapproval of this year’s Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars. The 96th edition of the prestigious Hollywood event took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Trump started his critique by taking a swipe at the Oscars host, Jimmy Kimmel. He didn’t mince words, stating that Kimmel’s opening was reminiscent of someone trying too hard and falling short. The former president suggested replacing Kimmel with George Stephanopoulos from ABC, misspelling his name as “George Slopanopoulos.”
Trump continued his criticism, labeling the show as politically correct, disjointed, boring, and unfair. He expressed his desire for the Oscars to be awarded to those who truly deserve them, believing it would revive the event’s audience and TV ratings. He concluded with Trump’s trademark slogan, “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
