In a display of unwavering solidarity and humanitarian commitment, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has once again stepped forward to alleviate the suffering of families affected by the Gaza war. Today, in a poignant gesture of support, the Foundation dispatched Ramadan food packages and a state-of-the-art ambulance to assist 15,000 more families grappling with the aftermath of the conflict.
Dr. Hafeez ur Rahman, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, oversaw the solemn send-off of relief goods from Ismailia, Egypt, through the Rafah border crossing. The shipment, comprising 20 substantial trailers laden with 400 tons of essential food items, symbolizes the enduring dedication of Alkhidmat to serve humanity in times of dire need. Accompanying the provisions is a modern ambulance, equipped with advanced medical facilities, aimed at providing urgent care to the injured and sick.
Reflecting on the magnitude of the crisis, Dr. Hafeez ur Rahman emphasized that the plight of the 2.2 million people affected by the Gaza war resonates as a collective challenge for the global community, particularly for fellow Muslims. Alkhidmat Foundation, he affirmed, remains steadfast in its resolve to extend relief to our distressed brethren in Gaza, having already executed relief activities totaling an impressive amount of 1700 million rupees.
To expedite and enhance aid efforts, Alkhidmat Foundation has established a camp office and warehouse in Cairo, facilitating the swift dispatch of relief supplies in collaboration with Turkish and Palestinian organizations operating within Gaza. Leveraging partnerships with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Alkhidmat Foundation has initiated air and sea cargo operations from Pakistan, ensuring the timely delivery of critical supplies, including medicines, food, tents, and hygiene kits.
Furthermore, in response to the pressing medical emergency in Gaza, Alkhidmat Foundation has completed the setup of a field hospital, poised to deploy medical personnel upon receiving authorization. Dr. Hafeez ur Rahman affirmed that, in solidarity with the Palestinian people, teams comprising doctors from Alkhidmat and PIMA (Pakistan Islamic Medical Association) stand ready to provide essential medical assistance.
Dr. Hafeezur Rehman concluded by acknowledging the gravity of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, stressing the imperative of sustained long-term efforts for recovery and rebuilding. As Gaza navigates through its darkest hours, Alkhidmat Foundation reaffirms its unwavering commitment to stand by the resilient people of Gaza, offering solace, support, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
