A spokesperson from the Chinese foreign ministry has recently expressed China’s eagerness to strengthen its ties with Pakistan. The spokesperson, Wang Wenbin, conveyed warm congratulations to Asif Ali Zardari on assuming the role of President, highlighting the significance China places on enhancing relations with Pakistan.
During his regular briefing, Wang Wenbin mentioned that President Xi Jinping had already sent a congratulatory message to President Zardari on his inauguration as the 14th President of Pakistan. The spokesperson emphasized China’s commitment to promoting the longstanding friendship between the two countries and their readiness to collaborate on practical initiatives across various sectors.
Wang Wenbin reiterated China’s dedication to working with Pakistan to not only uphold traditional ties but also to advance cooperation in different fields. The goal is to elevate the China-Pakistan All Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, ultimately building a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.
This comes in response to Asif Ali Zardari, Co-Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), taking the oath for the second time as the president after securing a majority in the presidential elections held on March 9. China looks forward to deepening its collaboration with Pakistan under Zardari’s leadership.
