Indian Air Force’s Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas, which India proudly flaunted, has recently met with its first-ever crash during the live firepower demonstration of indigenous weapons “Bharat Shakti” at Pokhran, Rajasthan. Adding to the humiliation, the event unfolded in front of PM Narendra Modi.
The Tejas, participating in the live demonstration, encountered difficulties leading to the crash, raising serious concerns about Indian military hardware. However, the quick response of the pilot ensured a safe ejection, avoiding any casualties.
The Live Fire Power Demo, showcasing India’s so-called indigenous weapons capability, took place at Pokhran and included the participation of the Tejas aircraft. Modi, who was personally witnessing the event, observed the humiliating incident.
The incident marks the end of a remarkable safety record for the Tejas, a fighter jet that has served the Indian Air Force for over two decades without such mishaps.
