Security forces in North Waziristan District have successfully neutralized a significant threat by eliminating at least eight terrorists, including a notorious commander known as Sehra alias Janan. This operation, based on intelligence reports, targeted the presence of terrorists in the area.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, the operation resulted in a fierce exchange of fire, ending with the elimination of the terrorists. Among them was the high-value target, Sehra alias Janan, who was responsible for orchestrating the recent terrorist attack on a security forces’ post in Mir Ali.
The ISPR emphasized the significance of this achievement, noting that Sehra was a prime target for law enforcement agencies due to his involvement in terrorist activities. The statement also highlighted ongoing efforts to clear the area of any remaining threats.
This operation comes in response to a recent attack on a security forces’ post in Mir Ali, where seven Pakistan Army soldiers, including a lieutenant colonel and captain, lost their lives while bravely defending against terrorists. The attackers attempted to breach the post, initiating a confrontation that tragically resulted in the soldiers’ martyrdom.
During the subsequent clearance operation, led by Lieutenant Colonel Kashif, all six terrorists involved in the attack were effectively neutralized by Pakistani troops. The ISPR reaffirmed the determination of the Security Forces of Pakistan to eradicate terrorism from the country, emphasizing the sacrifices made by the brave soldiers in this ongoing battle against extremism.
