Cardi B, the renowned rapper, has recently opened up about the delay in releasing her second studio album, citing fear as a major factor holding her back.
In an interview with Speedy Norman on 360 With Speedy, Cardi confessed, “I just feel like I lost myself… I was just afraid to do everything.” She expressed her apprehension towards various aspects of her life, including dropping music, going live, posting on social media, and even attending events like clubs due to fear of criticism and judgment from others.
Furthermore, Cardi disclosed that she has refrained from discussing politics after facing backlash, despite her previous advocacy for Senator Bernie Sanders during the 2016 presidential campaign. “I love talking about politics… I’m just so afraid of getting dragged every single f***ing day,” she stated.
Moreover, Cardi revealed her decision not to release a remix of the Ice Spice song “Munch” due to dissatisfaction with her own performance. She expressed concern about being criticized both for her rendition and for potentially negatively impacting the song itself.
The rapper’s candid remarks shed light on the personal struggles she faces amidst her public persona and the pressures of the entertainment industry.
