T20 World Cup Trophy Tour 2024 launched in New York

The excitement for the upcoming T20 World Cup has reached new heights as cricket legends Chris Gayle and USA bowler Ali Khan illuminated the iconic Empire State Building in New York. This marks the beginning of the Trophy Tour, building anticipation for the ninth edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup set to kick off on June 1, 2024.

The tournament will make history as the first ICC event held in the United States, with matches spread across three venues: the Nassau County International Stadium in New York, the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas, and the Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill. New York will host eight matches, while the other two venues will each host four games.

Co-hosts West Indies will see matches played at renowned venues such as Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago.

The Trophy Tour will span 15 countries across four continents, showcasing the coveted T20 World Cup trophy and inviting fans to join the ‘Out of this World’ cricket festival. It will also visit emerging cricket nations in the Americas like Argentina, Brazil, and Canada to attract new fans to the sport.

Claire Furlong, ICC General Manager of Marketing and Communications, expressed the immense anticipation for the historic event, emphasizing the opportunity for fans worldwide to engage with the tournament through the Trophy Tour.

Due to overwhelming demand, the ICC has released additional tickets for 51 out of the 55 matches, available across all nine host locations. Fans can secure their World Cup experience through the tickets.t20worldcup.com site.
