In a breathtaking display of skill and dominance, soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo secured his second consecutive hattrick in the Saudi Pro League (SPL), reaffirming his status as the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time). Al-Nassr soared to an extraordinary 8-0 triumph over Abha, with Ronaldo’s stellar performance at the forefront.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star exhibited his prowess by scoring two remarkable free kicks, followed by a sensational solo goal before being substituted at halftime, as reported by The Sun.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Ronaldo shared a glimpse of his remarkable performance with fans, declaring, “We are not slowing down!”
With this remarkable feat, Ronaldo solidified his position atop the SPL’s list of top scorers, amassing an impressive tally of 29 goals. Trailing closely behind him is Al-Hilal’s Aleksandar Mitrovic with 22 goals.
This remarkable achievement marked Ronaldo’s 65th career hattrick, coming just four days after his 64th hattrick during Al-Nassr’s victory over Al-Tai last Saturday.
The 39-year-old Portuguese striker showcased his versatility by scoring a low-free kick opener on 11 minutes, followed by a perfectly executed deadball double into the top corner. Piers Morgan, a prominent British broadcaster, lauded Ronaldo’s performance on X, describing his free kicks as “vintage Ronaldo.”
However, it was Ronaldo’s masterful chip from 25 yards out that sealed the hattrick, leaving viewers in awe of his extraordinary talent.
With 42 goals in 41 games for Al-Nassr this season, fans are convinced that Ronaldo still has the potential to clinch more Ballon d’Or trophies, following his fifth and most recent win in 2017.
