Renowned rapper Megan Thee Stallion, born Megan Pete, faces allegations of sexual harassment and fostering a hostile work environment from her former cameraman, Emilio Garcia.
Garcia, who served as Megan’s cameraman from 2018 to 2023, has filed a lawsuit against the artist, accusing her of subjecting him to sexual harassment and weight-shaming comments. These accusations have been vehemently denied by a representative for Megan.
According to reports, Garcia’s lawsuit, filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, paints a troubling picture of his time working with the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper. Among his claims is an incident where he alleges to have been trapped in a moving vehicle while Megan engaged in sexual activity with another woman. Garcia asserts that following the incident, he was warned not to discuss what he witnessed.
Speaking to NBC News, Garcia expressed his discomfort and shock over the alleged incident, stating, “I felt uncomfortable. I was kind of frozen, and I was shocked. At kind of just be the overall audacity to do this right, right beside me.”
The lawsuit further alleges instances of fat-shaming and verbal abuse directed towards Garcia by Megan. He claims that these actions created a hostile work environment, making his working conditions intolerable. Additionally, Garcia contends that his pay structure was altered after the incident in Ibiza, Spain, transitioning from a monthly flat-rate to a pay-per-task arrangement, which prohibited him from working for anyone else during this time.
Responding to the lawsuit, an attorney for Megan labeled it as “an employment claim for money” and emphasized that no sexual harassment claim had been filed. The attorney characterized the accusations as an attempt to embarrass Megan and asserted that the matter would be addressed through legal proceedings.
