Pakistan Navy Chief, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, made a significant appearance at the 19th Western Pacific Naval Symposium hosted in China under the theme ‘A Shared Future with the Sea’. The symposium brought together Naval Chiefs and representatives from various nations across the globe.
During his attendance, Admiral Naveed Ashraf engaged in separate discussions with high-ranking officials including the Commander of the US Pacific Fleet, the First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff of the Royal Navy, Commander Chief of the Russian Federation Navy, Chief of Indonesian Navy, and counterparts from Bangladesh Navy, South Korea’s Chief of Naval Operations, Singapore’s Chief of Naval Staff, and Acting Deputy Commander of Brunei Navy.
In these bilateral discussions, Admiral Ashraf underscored the pivotal role of Pakistan Navy in addressing the escalating challenges within the global maritime sphere and emphasized the importance of the blue economy. The interactions aimed to foster stronger ties and enhance cooperative efforts among partner navies to bolster regional and global maritime security.
