In a significant recognition of his efforts to revive Pakistan’s economy and drive foreign investment, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been hailed as the “Man of Action” by the Saudi leadership during his busy itinerary in Riyadh.
The acknowledgment came during a series of meetings the Prime Minister had with various Saudi officials, including the Saudi Minister for Investment Khalid Al-Falih, Minister for Finance Mohammad Al Jadaan, and Minister for Industry Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhourayef.
During a meeting held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Saudi Minister for Investment Khalid Al-Falih praised Prime Minister Shehbaz for his performance, speed of work, and unwavering commitment to Pakistan’s development and progress.
“This is the second time PM Shehbaz has earned such a distinction from foreign leadership,” noted sources, referring to an earlier title of “Shehbaz Speed” bestowed upon him by a Chinese leader for his swift execution of development projects while serving as Punjab chief minister.
The Saudi Minister for Finance echoed Al-Falih’s sentiments, expressing Saudi Arabia’s prioritization of investment in Pakistan across sectors such as agriculture, information technology, and energy. He also commended the significant role played by Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia’s progress.
Al-Falih reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s steadfast support for Pakistan’s economic progress, emphasizing that “the progress of Pakistan is the progress of Saudi Arabia.”
“Your mission is our mission,” remarked the Saudi Minister for Investment, encapsulating the spirit of collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in advancing shared goals of development and prosperity.
