May 9 Tragedy: News Anchors express condolences & condemnation

As the anniversary of the May 9 tragedy approaches, the wounds of the tragedy remain fresh, haunting the collective consciousness of the nation. News anchors, reflecting the sentiments of the public, have come forward to express their feelings on the solemn occasion.

Mohammad Zafir, a prominent anchor, solemnly remarked, “It has been one year since the tragedy on May 9 and we strongly condemn this incident.” His words echo the sentiments of many who still grieve for the lives lost on that fateful day.

Zafir didn’t mince words in expressing his outrage, stating, “Those who desecrated the memorials of the martyrs should reach the level of infidelity so that no evildoer would have the courage to desecrate the memorials of the martyrs.”

Jawaria Ali, another anchor, emphasized the profound impact of the tragedy on the families of the martyrs, stating, “The martyrs sacrificed their lives for the sake of this country, their families have suffered a lot from this act.”

Reflecting on the significance of honoring the memory of the fallen, Ali urged, “We should remember the favors of our martyrs, which they have done for us by sacrificing their lives.”

Ali Sarwar, echoing the sentiments of his colleagues, condemned the desecration of the martyrs’ memorials as “highly condemnable.” He emphasized, “Martyrs have sacrificed their lives for the land of Pakistan, Martyrs have mercy on us and living nations never forget their benefactors.” His words encapsulate the reverence and respect owed to those who laid down their lives for the greater good.
