In a significant development for aspiring civil servants across Pakistan, the Federal Public Services Commission (FPSC) declared the results of the Central Superior Services (CSS) exams for the year 2023 on Saturday.
According to the FPSC, the passing ratio for last year’s exams stands at a mere 2.96%, highlighting the stringent nature of one of the country’s most competitive examinations.
Out of the 13,008 candidates who appeared for the written examination, only 401 managed to pass this challenging phase, indicating the rigorous standards set by the commission.
Among the successful candidates, a total of 210 individuals have been recommended for appointment as Grade-17 officers. This group comprises 126 male candidates and 84 female candidates, reflecting a diverse pool of talent making its mark in Pakistan’s bureaucratic landscape.
In a proud moment for the top achievers, Adil Riaz clinched the first position in the CSS exam 2023, showcasing exemplary dedication and academic prowess. Shehrbano secured the second position, closely followed by Okasha Abrar in third place.
The FPSC assured that the detailed marks sheets of each candidate would be made available on the commission’s official website in due course, allowing for transparency and accountability in the evaluation process.
As the successful candidates prepare to embark on their careers as Grade-17 officers, the FPSC’s announcement underscores the pivotal role of meritocracy in shaping the nation’s administrative framework and fostering excellence in public service.
