Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi reaffirmed his commitment on Tuesday to provide unwavering assistance to Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti in enhancing the law and order situation in the province.
The declaration came following a meeting between Naqvi and CM Bugti in Quetta, where both leaders engaged in discussions regarding the prevailing law and order scenario and other pertinent issues. Addressing the gathering, Naqvi expressed, “We are dedicated to serving our Baloch brethren in every possible capacity. All necessary resources are at our disposal to uplift Balochistan.”
Naqvi also acknowledged Balochistan’s significant contributions to the nation’s development.
Meanwhile, CM Bugti assured that all available resources were being efficiently utilized to maintain law and order within the province.
Just days prior, Naqvi had commended Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori for inaugurating the IT marquee.
In a visit to the IT marquee in Karachi alongside Tessori, Naqvi was warmly welcomed by students. Tessori, emphasizing opportunities for the youth, stated, “Through the Governor Sindh Rozgar Scheme, up to Rs10 million will be provided to start businesses.”
Naqvi, praising Tessori’s initiatives, remarked, “I had heard about the efforts of the Sindh governor, and now I witness them firsthand.”
Further, Naqvi announced the decision to establish a special protection force for the security of foreign nationals during a meeting held in Islamabad to address the law and order situation. He stressed the utilization of modern technology to combat drug trafficking, emphasizing a crackdown on drug dealers operating near educational institutions.
Naqvi underscored the importance of registering First Information Reports (FIRs) promptly, warning of consequences for police officers failing to do so. Additionally, he initiated plans to address traffic issues in the federal capital and expedite promotions within the Islamabad police force. Naqvi hinted at modernizing Islamabad Safe City to meet contemporary security standards, drawing inspiration from the Lahore Safe City project.
