Federal ministries authorized for significant recruitment drive

In a bid to address the burgeoning vacancies across federal ministries and their subordinate institutions, the Establishment Division has given its nod to a substantial recruitment effort. This move comes in the wake of persistent concerns regarding staffing shortages hindering governmental operations.

The ambitious initiative aims to fill a staggering total of 1,102 vacant positions, spanning various grades from 1 to 17. Under the careful supervision of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), this recruitment drive seeks to bolster the administrative backbone of key governmental sectors.

Among the notable allocations, the District Health Office in Islamabad is slated to welcome 12 new Medical Officers (Grade 17), aimed at enhancing healthcare services in the capital region.

In a bid to bolster cultural and informational resources, the National Library is poised to onboard two new hires for Grade 16 and 17 positions. Meanwhile, the Information Service Academy is gearing up to recruit five individuals across Grade 1 to 13 roles, aiming to fortify the dissemination of governmental information.

The Defense Division, pivotal to national security, is set to fill 206 positions ranging from Grade 4 to 15, ensuring operational readiness and efficiency within its ranks.

Expanding the scope of opportunities for Pakistani nationals, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis is slated to recruit 66 individuals across Grade 1 to 15 roles. Additionally, the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital has earmarked 429 positions, including 85 regular slots, in various grades to bolster healthcare delivery.

The Ministry of Defense (GHQ) is actively seeking to fill critical vacancies for an Information Officer (Grade 17) and a Computer Operator (Grade 16), vital for maintaining technological prowess and information management within the institution.

Moreover, the Federal Government Polyclinic Hospital is gearing up to fill 77 positions ranging from Grade 1 to 15, aimed at ensuring quality healthcare provision to citizens.

In a comprehensive approach to address staffing deficits, the Establishment Division has further allocated 85 vacancies across Grade 4 to 15 in the Ministry of External Affairs, six positions in the Staff Welfare Organization, and 13 positions in the Pakistan Public Administration Research across Grade 1 to 14.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is also poised to witness an influx of 199 new recruits across Grade 1 to 15 positions, aimed at reinforcing law enforcement efforts nationwide.

This concerted effort towards recruitment underscores the government’s commitment to bolstering administrative capacity and ensuring efficient service delivery across various sectors, ultimately aiming to fulfill its mandate of serving the populace effectively.
