In response to escalating anti-Pakistan sentiments perpetuated by politicians from India’s Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Islamabad has issued a stern warning against any potential misadventures.
The Foreign Office of Pakistan, condemned the inflammatory rhetoric emanating from the BJP camp, cautioning India to refrain from any actions against Pakistan. This warning comes amidst the backdrop of India’s ongoing general election campaign, where the BJP and PM Modi have been accused of stoking bravado and jingoism to secure votes.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office, rebuffed the accusations leveled against Pakistan’s strategic capabilities, emphasizing their purpose of safeguarding sovereignty and territorial integrity. She underscored Pakistan’s resolve to defend itself against any aggression.
Baloch expressed concern over the surge in anti-Pakistan rhetoric from Indian leaders, labeling it as reckless and extremist. She criticized India’s obsession with Pakistan, attributing it to electoral gains and a diversion from domestic and international criticism.
Furthermore, Pakistan highlighted India’s past transgressions on Pakistani soil, interpreting India’s readiness for aggressive actions as an admission of guilt.
