In a significant development bolstering Pakistan’s military capabilities, the Pakistan Army has successfully carried out the training launch of the Fatah-II Guided Rocket System. The announcement came through the military’s media wing in a statement released on Wednesday.
The Fatah-II rocket system, boasting a range of 400 kilometers, showcases advanced features including a state-of-the-art navigation system along with unique trajectory and maneuverable capabilities. Notably, the missile is touted as capable of precisely engaging targets and overcoming any missile defense systems.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), today’s launch was primarily focused on refining the launch procedures and drills associated with the Fatah-II system.
“Fatah-II is set to be integrated into Pakistan’s Artillery Divisions, enhancing the capability for precise engagement of distant targets. This introduction will notably augment the reach and effectiveness of Pakistan Army’s conventional weaponry,” stated the ISPR.
The launch event witnessed the presence of high-ranking officials including the Chief of the General Staff of Pakistan Army, alongside senior officers from all three services, and a cohort of dedicated scientists and engineers.
“The President, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chief of Army Staff, and all Service Chiefs extended their congratulations to the participating troops and scientists for this remarkable achievement,” added the ISPR.
The successful training launch marks a significant stride in Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to modernize its defense capabilities, underlining the nation’s commitment to ensuring its security and sovereignty.
