In a move aimed at raising awareness about the Palestine issue and fostering international solidarity, two Kuwaiti experts have named a bright star in the sky ‘Palestine,’ as reported by various Middle Eastern news outlets.
Dr. Musa Almazidi and Dr. Zuhair Almazidi, experts from the media and training sectors respectively, disclosed that the international star registration website, “Star Registration,” has issued a name registration certificate for the star. Utilizing data sourced from space agencies including NASA, the website designated the star as ‘Palestine’ based on the recommendations of the Kuwaiti doctors.
According to reports from outlets such as Quds Press and Syria Times, the experts claim that the star is visible to the naked human eye in the sky over Kuwait. They have received official documentation, including a picture approving the star’s name and its location in the sky, along with an English sentence stating, “State Palestine will exist forever.”
Both experts assert that the name ‘Palestine’ has been permanently registered on the Star Registration website, and the star is located approximately 257.22 light-years away from Earth. They emphasize that this initiative is driven by Kuwaitis’ love for Palestinians and their keen interest in highlighting the Palestine issue on an international platform.
In a statement to Quds Press, the experts stated, “This initiative reflects Kuwaitis’ love for Palestinians and Kuwaitis’ interest in highlighting the Palestine issue.”
The naming of the star ‘Palestine’ serves as a symbolic gesture to draw attention to the ongoing struggle of the Palestinian people and to garner support from the international community.
