“Hurmat-e-Parcham” Campaign launched After Frankfurt Incident

In a powerful response to the recent attack on the Pakistani consulate in Germany and the desecration of the national flag, Pakistan’s federal cabinet has launched the “Hurmat-e-Parcham” campaign. The initiative aims to reinforce national pride and solidarity among Pakistanis.

On Thursday, several high-profile federal ministers, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Leghari, Minister for Privatisation Abdul Aleem Khan, Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer, and Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, took to social media to showcase their participation in the campaign. The ministers posted images of themselves proudly holding the Pakistani flag, accompanied by messages celebrating national pride and unity.

Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar shared a particularly poignant message: “Chand Roshan Chamakta Sitara Rahey, Sab Se Oncha Yeh Jhanda Hamara Rahey,” underscoring the flag’s enduring significance as a symbol of resilience and defiance against adversaries.

The campaign has garnered widespread support, with additional endorsements from other notable ministers, including Dr. Musadik Malik, Ali Pervaiz Malik, and Jam Kamal Khan, all echoing the sentiment “Pakistan Zindabad.”

Tarar has called on all segments of society—political activists, journalists, intellectuals, educators, and the youth—to join the “Hurmat-e-Parcham” campaign. He emphasized that the national flag is a potent emblem of Pakistan’s identity and sovereignty, and urged the nation to rally together, especially as the country approaches its Independence Day in August.

The “Hurmat-e-Parcham” campaign serves not only as a response to the consulate attack but also as a reminder of Pakistan’s unwavering spirit and unity in the face of challenges.
