PM Announces One Million smartphones for Top Students

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Monday that the government will give one million smartphones, tablets, and laptops to the best-performing students in the country. This includes students from areas like Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and remote parts of Balochistan. He made this announcement during an event celebrating International Youth Day.

The Prime Minister shared his goal of helping young people shape the future of the country. He said that each province has its own programs to support students, and he promised to provide resources to help the youth make the country stronger and more developed.

He believes that if young people have access to modern education and technology, they can greatly improve the nation. He wants to teach young people about information technology and artificial intelligence, inspired by the progress made in China.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that he will personally pay for 1,000 agricultural students to study in China, where they will learn new farming technologies. Huawei, a large tech company, will help by training 200,000 young people in IT.

During the event, the Prime Minister launched several new programs, including a digital learning platform, a green youth movement, and an AI for Youth program. He also started a National Volunteer Corps and gave out awards to successful young entrepreneurs.

Finally, he praised javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem for winning a gold medal after 40 years. He promised that the country’s hockey team will also be revived.
