Pakistani named ‘Most Valuable Player’ at Maldives Kings Cup

Azra Farooq, a Pakistani women’s volleyball player, has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the Kings Cup Volleyball tournament in the Maldives.

Azra played for the MK Club, based in Milton Keynes, UK. She helped her team win all four matches in the tournament. In each game, Azra was named the best player, leading her team to victory and securing the tournament title.

Azra’s individual success is impressive. She won six trophies: four for being the best player in each match, one for being the MVP, and one for being one of the top six players in the tournament.

These achievements are a source of pride for Azra and for Pakistan’s women’s volleyball. They show that Pakistani women athletes can succeed internationally.

This was Azra’s second time playing for a club in the Maldives. Previously, she and Muqaddas Bukhari made history as the first Pakistani women to be signed by a volleyball club outside Pakistan. They played for the Al-Fawz club in the MZC Ladies’ Cup.
