President Approves National Awards for 104 Distinguished Individuals

President Asif Ali Zardari has approved national awards for 104 people, including both Pakistanis and foreign nationals, for their exceptional contributions to the country. These awards will be presented on Pakistan Day, March 23, 2025.

Here are some of the notable honourees:

– Nishan-e-Pakistan:

The late Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto will be honored posthumously for his outstanding public service.

– Sitara-e-Shujaat:

Panjgur’s late Deputy Commissioner Zakir Hussain Baloch, Malik Sabz Ali, and Captain (Retd) Hamza Anjum will be recognized for their bravery.

– Sitara-e-Pakistan:

Dr. Majid Bin Abdullah Al-Qasbi and Engineer Abdullah Al-Sawaha will be awarded for their significant contributions.

– Hilal-e-Imtiaz:

Olympian Arshad Nadeem for sports, Amir Hafeez Ibrahim for science and technology, Sadia Rasheed for education, and Prof Dr. Shehryar and Dr. Zaryab Setna for medicine.

– Sitara-e-Imtiaz:

Murad Sadpara for sports, and several others in science, technology, education, literature, and social services.

– Nishan-e-Imtiaz:

Literary figure Nasir Kazmi will be posthumously honored for his contributions to Urdu literature.

– Hilal-e-Pakistan:

Saudi Prince Abdul Aziz bin Salman Al Saud will be recognized for his services to Pakistan.

– Hilal-e-Quaid-e-Azam and Sitara-Quaid-e-Azam:

Awards will go to Foo Chi Hung, Muhammad Saif Al Suwaidi, Heydar Gurbanov, and Dr. Christine Schmutzer for their exceptional work.

– Tamgha-e-Quaid-e-Azam:

Chang Bao Chung and Shin Min Liu will be honored.

– Hilal-e-Shujaat:

Ten martyred police officers, including sub-inspector Taimur Shahzad, will be awarded posthumously for their bravery.

– Tamgha-e-Pakistan and Tamgha-e-Khidmat:

Several foreign nationals, including Lucas Worrell and Diana MacArthur, will receive these awards for their services.

– Tamgha-e-Shujaat and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz:

Individuals like Malik Mehmood Jan and Dr. Sara Qureshi will be honored for their bravery and achievements in science, technology, and other fields.

– President’s Pride of Performance:

Fariha Parvez, Hamid Rana, and others will be recognized for their contributions to the arts and sports.

This list of honourees highlights the nation’s appreciation for the diverse contributions made by individuals in various fields.
