A group of 44 students from Harvard Business School (HBS) Trek-2024, hailing from 9 different countries, visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi today. During their visit, they had an interactive session with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir.
The discussion focused on Pakistan’s important role in promoting peace and stability in the region, its ongoing efforts to fight terrorism, and its commitment to maintaining democratic values. General Munir stressed the importance of education, critical thinking, and innovation in tackling today’s security challenges. He also highlighted Pakistan’s potential and encouraged the students to form their own opinions based on what they observe.
The Army Chief warned the students about the dangers of misinformation and fake news, especially in today’s digital age. He urged them to be careful and thoughtful when navigating the online world.
The Harvard students expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to engage with the COAS and learn more about Pakistan. This meeting follows a similar session General Munir held with students from various universities on August 20, showing his dedication to inspiring and guiding the younger generation.
