Forbes has released its latest list of the ten most powerful countries in the world, and for the first time, Saudi Arabia has made it into the top ten, securing the 9th position. The United States tops the list as the most powerful country, followed by China and Russia in the second and third spots, respectively.
Other countries in the top ten include Germany in fourth place, the United Kingdom in fifth, South Korea in sixth, France in seventh, Japan in eighth, and the United Arab Emirates rounding out the list in the tenth spot.
These rankings are based on a country’s economic and political influence, its international alliances, and its defense capabilities.
Saudi Arabia’s inclusion in the top ten is largely due to its strong economy, which is heavily supported by its status as one of the world’s leading oil producers. This gives Saudi Arabia significant influence in the global market. Additionally, Saudi Arabia has increased its military spending in recent years, boosting its defense capabilities and strengthening its position on the world stage.
Beyond its economic and military strengths, Saudi Arabia is also a key player in international relations. As an active member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Saudi Arabia has often taken on a mediating role in regional and global affairs.
The Forbes report also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s recent efforts to implement social and economic reforms, including steps to improve women’s rights, which have further strengthened its standing in the world.
With these developments, Saudi Arabia is not just a powerful economic player but also an increasingly influential country in global politics and international relations.
