In a major stride towards completion, the Suki Kinari Hydropower station has surpassed 98% overall construction progress, according to He Xiongfei, the chairman and general manager of the project. The endeavor, a part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), is set to play a crucial role in reshaping Pakistan’s energy landscape, offering a substantial boost to its economic and social development.
Situated in the Mansehra district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, this 884-megawatt hydropower project is under the skilled hands of the Overseas Investment Company of China Gezhouba Group. Once operational, the CPEC initiative is expected to churn out a substantial 3.21 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, marking a significant stride towards sustainable energy solutions.
The Suki Kinari Hydropower station stands poised to not only meet Pakistan’s energy needs but also to contribute significantly to a greener and more energy-efficient future for the nation.
