In a significant crackdown on smuggling and narcotics, the Pakistan Coast Guards have joined forces with other law enforcement agencies and successfully recovered a substantial amount of illicit goods in recent operations from Jivani to Hub.
Acting on confidential information about sea-based smuggling activities, the Pakistan Coast Guards conducted operations in Jivani and Pasni areas of Gwadar district. During these operations, they seized a massive haul including 336 kg of hashish, 4912 kg of betel nut, 45005 kg of mixed gutka, 1087 cotton cigarettes, 5000 kg of cloth, and 375 cotton bakery products.
The vigilant checks at various locations also led to the confiscation of 49 bags of dairy products, 159 cartons, and 87 bags of daily use items, along with 131 bags of Iranian plastic, 34 cartons of utensils, and 2160 liters of cooking oil. The operations extended to spare parts, with 8 cartons seized, as well as 49 tires, 28 various vehicles, 60680 tons of Iranian petrol, and 127108 liters of Iranian diesel.
These efforts mark a substantial step towards curbing the smuggling menace, showcasing the dedication of Pakistan Coast Guards in collaboration with other agencies to maintain security and combat illegal activities in the region.
