Pakistan condemns heinous attack on Moscow concert

Pakistan has strongly condemned the horrifying attack that shook Moscow when gunmen unleashed chaos at a concert hall on the outskirts of the Russian capital. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif denounced the “heinous” act, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of numerous lives. In a statement shared on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, PM extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and assured Russia of Pakistan’s unwavering support during this trying period.

The Foreign Office echoed the Prime Minister’s sentiments, vehemently condemning the attack and offering Pakistan’s sincerest sympathies to the affected families. Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch reiterated Pakistan’s solidarity with the Russian people and government.

The tragic incident unfolded at the Crocus City Hall during a concert by the Soviet-era rock group “Picnic.” Over 60 individuals lost their lives, while more than 145 sustained injuries, with many in critical condition. The assailants struck just moments before the concert was set to begin, targeting innocent attendees.
