Brand Finance, a renowned global consultancy known for its expertise in brand valuation and strategy, has released its latest assessment of the world’s leading Academic Medical Centers (AMCs), showcasing Mayo Clinic’s continued reign as a beacon of healthcare innovation. In a momentous achievement for Pakistan, Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH), Karachi, has also earned a coveted spot among the global top 100 AMCs.
For the second consecutive year, Mayo Clinic has clinched the top spot in Brand Finance’s rankings, boasting an impressive Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 86.9/100.
Close on the heels of Mayo Clinic is Massachusetts General Hospital, USA, retaining its second position, with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, India, securing third place, and Singapore General Hospital, Singapore, clinching fourth place among 250 hospitals worldwide.
In a groundbreaking development for Pakistan’s healthcare landscape, Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH), Karachi, has secured the 85th position globally, marking its debut in the prestigious top 100 AMCs list. This remarkable achievement reflects AKUH’s unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional patient care, conducting groundbreaking medical research, and serving the community with distinction, as evaluated by Brand Finance’s comprehensive ranking methodology.
In addition to AKUH Karachi’s milestone, several other Pakistani hospitals have also made notable strides on the international stage. Mayo Hospital Lahore, Jinnah Hospital Karachi, Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi, and University Dental Hospital, Lahore, have all earned positions among the top 250 AMCs worldwide, further bolstering Pakistan’s standing in the global healthcare arena.
