One year has passed since the heartbreaking incident of May 9, but the families of the martyrs are still sad. The relatives expressed their feelings with moist eyes.
As the nation commemorates the anniversary of the May 9 tragedy, families of the martyrs continue to grapple with the profound loss, demanding justice and accountability for their loved ones. Among them, the sentiments of pride and anguish intermingle, echoing the resilient spirit of those who sacrificed their lives for their country.
Speaking with unwavering conviction, the mother of Captain Taha Hashmi Shaheed shared her profound sense of pride in her son’s sacrifice, stating, “I am proud that Allah chose my son for martyrdom.”
Echoing her mother’s sentiments, the sister of Taha Hashmi Shaheed condemned the desecration of the martyrs’ memorials on May 9, labeling the act as intolerable and painful. In a fervent appeal to the government, she urged for stringent action against those responsible for the heinous incident, emphasizing, “The nations that do not value their martyrs will disappear.”
In a poignant reflection on the tragedy, Taha Hashmi Shaheed’s sister questioned the allegiance and identity of those who perpetrated the sacrilege, asserting, “I don’t think that those responsible for this incident deserve to be called Muslims or Pakistanis.” Such blatant disrespect towards the martyrs, she contended, defies the very essence of patriotism and honor.
