Pakistan Army holds 83rd formation commanders conference

The Pakistan Army convened its 83rd Formation Commanders Conference under the leadership of Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir. The meeting, held by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), saw the participation of corps commanders, principal staff officers, and all formation commanders.

The forum began with a recitation of Fatiha, paying homage to the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the nation’s safety, security, and independence. These tributes were extended to the officers and personnel of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and Pakistani citizens.

During the conference, the attendees were briefed on the current geo-strategic situation and emerging national security challenges. The Pakistan Army’s strategy for addressing multi-domain threats was discussed in detail. The forum emphasized that recent propaganda attempts aimed at driving a wedge between national institutions and the public are destined to fail. These propagandists, supported by foreign-sponsored proxies, are particularly focused on deterring Balochistan’s youth from pursuing peace and development.

Reiterating their stance on the events of May 9, the forum underscored the importance of bringing all planners, perpetrators, and facilitators to justice.

The ISPR statement highlighted the forum’s commitment to national security and stability, praising Pakistan’s achievements on Takbeer Day and their positive impact on regional stability. Concerns were raised over ongoing border violations and the use of Afghan territory by hostile forces to target Pakistani civilians. The forum acknowledged the sacrifices made by the residents of newly merged districts in combating miscreants and stressed the significance of development in these areas to thwart external propagandists effectively.

The situation on the eastern border was also reviewed, with the forum condemning recent violent incidents and expressing strong support for the Kashmiri people’s struggle for self-determination, in line with UN Security Council resolutions.

The conference voiced concern over the inhumane treatment of minorities, particularly Muslims, in India, attributing it to the rising tide of fascism aimed at political gains. Additionally, the forum pledged full support for the government’s efforts towards sustainable economic development and curbing illegal activities such as smuggling, hoarding, and electricity theft. They also endorsed the One Document Regime and initiatives for the dignified repatriation of illegal aliens.

The Pakistan Army remains resolute in its commitment to national security, stability, and the well-being of its citizens, vowing to counter all internal and external threats with unwavering determination.
