Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam is reportedly exploring the possibility of taking legal action against several YouTubers and former players who have accused him of misconduct during the T20 World Cup 2024.
The allegations surfaced following Pakistan’s unexpected exit from the tournament, where the team failed to progress to the Super Eight stage. Losses to the USA and India, in particular, have led to widespread criticism of Babar’s leadership and performance. This criticism has fueled a relentless social media campaign targeting the captain.
In response to these accusations, Babar is actively consulting with legal experts to determine his next steps. The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) legal department is also involved, diligently gathering evidence to support Babar’s potential legal claims.
The controversy has overshadowed Pakistan’s final match against Ireland, a game that held no impact on their standing in the tournament. Despite this, the scrutiny of Babar’s captaincy has only intensified, prompting him to consider legal recourse to defend his reputation.
