In a startling revelation, what initially seemed like a violent altercation involving stage actor and PML-N member Tahir Anjum in front of the Punjab Assembly has now been exposed as a staged drama for personal gain.
According to police reports, the incident, which occurred a few days ago, involved PTI activist Aneela Riaz and PML-N’s Cultural Wing President Tahir Anjum. The investigation has unveiled that both individuals orchestrated the scenario to advance their personal interests.
Evidence collected during the investigation, including mobile phone records and CCTV footage, has confirmed the collaboration between Aneela Riaz and Tahir Anjum. CCTV footage shows Riaz arriving at Anjum’s residence, where they are seen conspiring together before the staged incident. Later, Riaz was observed arriving at the Punjab Assembly in a rickshaw, further solidifying the premeditated nature of their actions.
Police have detailed that mobile phone records and CCTV footage corroborate the connection between Riaz and Anjum, exposing their coordinated effort. Aneela Riaz reportedly had aspirations for a reserved PTI seat, while Anjum aimed to elevate his status within the PML-N.
Adding another layer of complexity to the case, police noted that before the case was officially filed, Tahir Anjum had submitted a statement expressing his willingness to forgive Aneela Riaz. This gesture has raised further questions about the motivations behind the staged incident.
The incident initially came to public attention when the Lahore police arrested Aneela Riaz for allegedly attacking Tahir Anjum outside the Punjab Assembly, reportedly tearing off his clothes during the altercation. A case was registered against Riaz and her unidentified accomplices based on Anjum’s complaint.
The staged altercation was said to have occurred when Anjum was passing by the hunger strike camp of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) outside the Punjab Assembly, according to the FIR.
As the investigation continues, the revelation of this staged drama has sparked widespread discussion about the lengths to which individuals might go to achieve political and personal gains.
