Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has made an important announcement. Teachers of students who perform the best in their exams will receive awards. This is part of a larger plan to improve education in Punjab and to support both students and teachers.
During a meeting with the education department, the Chief Minister said it is important to recognize the hard work of teachers who help their students succeed. She asked the department to make sure both the top students and their teachers are rewarded.
In addition to the teacher awards, the Chief Minister also approved new projects to help students and improve schools in Punjab:
– The Punjab government will spend over Rs125 billion each year to cover all school expenses for 25,000 students. This will make sure that money problems do not stop students from studying.
– Buses will be given to 60 girls’ colleges across Punjab to provide safe and reliable transportation for female students.
– To promote technology and digital learning, the Chief Minister ordered the creation of information technology hubs in all districts of Punjab.
Many important people attended the meeting, including Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Principal Secretary Sajid Zafar Dal, and Higher Education Secretary Dr. Farrukh Naveed. Their attendance shows that the government is working together to improve education in Punjab.
