Security forces successfully foiled a terrorist attack on PNS Siddique, a naval base located in Turbat city, Balochistan. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that the attack occurred during the night of March 25 and 26 but was swiftly responded to by the troops, ensuring the safety of personnel and assets at the base.
According to the ISPR statement, all four terrorists involved in the attack were killed during a joint clearance operation conducted by the armed forces. Additionally, a 24-year-old Frontier Corps trooper, Sepoy Noman Fareed, from Muzaffargarh, bravely fought the terrorists and embraced martyrdom during the operation.
Following the incident, security forces mobilized in the area to support the naval troops, and a sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any other potential threats. The armed forces reiterated their commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country.
This attack comes shortly after another thwarted assault on the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) colony, where eight terrorists were neutralized by security forces. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for their prompt and effective response, affirming the nation’s solidarity with them in combating terrorism.
In a separate operation in Dera Ismail Khan, security forces eliminated four terrorists in an intelligence-based operation. The militants, identified as Mustafa, Qismat Ullah, and Islam Ud Din, were involved in various terrorist activities against security forces and civilians.
Locals in the area praised the operations conducted by security forces, emphasizing the determination to root out terrorism from the country. The military recovered a significant quantity of arms, ammunition, and explosives from the terrorists, further bolstering efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.
