Shulam Hospital, established with the support of Frontier Corps KP South, is making significant strides in providing essential health services to the local community. Located in Birmal Tehsil, South Waziristan, the hospital offers a wide range of medical and surgical services, including outpatient care and emergency treatments.
In 2023, the hospital faced considerable challenges due to financial difficulties, which impacted its operations. However, with the dedicated efforts of Frontier Corps KP South, necessary funds were secured to restore and enhance the hospital’s facilities. A solar power system was repaired, and new power connections were established, ensuring a reliable energy supply for the hospital.
The hospital has recently expanded its services to include operations for gynecological diseases, treatment facilities for hepatitis and kidney diseases, and the activation of modern laboratories. These advancements have significantly improved the quality of care available to the residents of South Waziristan.
Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) South visited Shulam Hospital to review the newly activated facilities and expressed his appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the hospital staff. The hospital management, in turn, thanked the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps KP South for their ongoing support in providing modern health services to the community.
