Prominent TV anchor Ayesha Jahanzeb has lodged a legal complaint against TV personality Dr. Omar Adil, accusing him of using offensive and vulgar language about her on a YouTube channel. This marks the third such case registered against Dr. Adil, following similar complaints by other public figures.
It is noteworthy that a previous complaint against Dr. Adil was filed by PML-N leader Azma Bukhari, and before that, anchor Ghareeda Farooqui had also initiated legal action. These cases revolve around allegations of inappropriate and offensive behavior directed at women in public media forums.
On Tuesday, Dr. Adil was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) after the cybercrime complaint was filed by Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari. Following his arrest, the FIA sought his physical remand but was denied by a judicial magistrate in Lahore on Wednesday. Instead, Dr. Adil has been placed in judicial custody, and he will remain in jail while further proceedings in the case continue.
